John Boyle O'Reilly (1844–1890) 
Writer and editor
O'Reilly was born in Ireland and sentenced to servitude in Australia for his nationalist activities. Escaping Australia, he came to Massachusetts in 1869, where he edited the Boston Pilot, and wrote several novels and books of poetry.
