First bishop of Leavenworth (Kansas City), KS, 1877–1904
Born in Bavaria, Fink came to the United States when young and was ordained a Benedictine priest at St. Vincent's Abbey in 1857. He was named the first bishop of Leavenworth, which then comprised of the entire state of Kansas.
