Quigley was the publisher of a movie industry magazine, and cooperated with Fr. George Dinneen, Joseph Breen, and others in their campaign to stem immorality in Hollywood's products during the era of the Production Code and the Legion of Decency. It was Quigley who invited Fr. Daniel Lord to write the Production Code's guidelines.
