Robert Walsh (1785–1859)
Editor, Diplomat
A native of Baltimore, Walsh was one of the first students at Georgetown College. He founded the American Review of History and Politics and the Philadelphia National Gazette. From 1837 to 1844, he was Consul General of the United States in Paris.
