Venerable Samuel Mazzuchelli, OP (1807–1864)
Missionary
Born in Italy, Mazzuchelli was ordained a Dominican priest in 1830 and was sent as a missionary to the United States. He worked throughout the Mississippi Valley, but was especially active in the Wisconsin Territory. He was declared venerable in 1993.
