St. Ignatius Mission
St. Ignatius, Montana
Founded 1854
Jesuit Fathers Pierre De Smet and Adrian Hoecken built the first St. Ignatius mission among the Kalispel and Flathead Indians in eastern Washington. The mission was moved to the Flathead reservation in Montana in 1854.
